Friday June 19th; we started off the morning trying to find a spot where we could hide from the very high west winds, that lead us to a nice pile of hungry Porgies in the bay. The bite lasted through the change of tide and then some. When the flood tide really started to pick up our bite slowed down. By days end we had a nice showing of some jumbo Peconic Bay Porgies. ![]()
Back at it tomorrow at 7:30 for the Peconic Star VI![]()
Sunday Father’s Day the full day boat is definitely sailing as is the 8:00 am half day boat. The 1:00 pm trip still needs a few more to ensure we are sailing. ![]()

Sunday June 14: the Peconic Star VI was out for some all day porgy fishing today. The morning started off a little better than yesterday as we tried to stay out of the raging flood tide from the new moon. We found some quality size fish at our drops which included some weakfish and fluke among the Porgy. ![]()

Saturday June 13:
Capt Speedy had the Peconic Star VI out for the open boat porgy trip. Fishing was slow on a very fast New Moon flood tide but by the end of the day he was able to get a decent catch by days end. ![]()
For the afternoon Capt Matt had the Peconic Star VII out striper fishing. The first stop only provided two over sized stripers and a bunch of misses on some large ones. Capt Matt decided to go the extra mile where he found a large pile of hungry Stripers landing numerous over slot fish to 22 Lbs and keeping two slot fish. ![]()
*all over sized fish safely released *
