Wednesday July 8, today was one of the top 10 days to be on the water. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the fishing was great. Captain Speedy took the Peconic Star VI (Greenport’s biggest and most comfortable boat) out to the east and found excellent action with jumbo size porgy’s coming over the rails. Friday July 3, both boats were out today trying to keep cool. Capt. Speedy had a decent catch of porgy and sea bass but many of the sea bass were returned to the sea because they were small.
